Im loving snoods at the moment - ive always been a scarf fantastic girl but since a minor injury caused by stepping on an extremely long and troublesome scarf - channel Isadora ducan but not so tragic- i invested in a Snood! And i loves it!!

What on earth is this mentality?? Why are these people role models for young girls - isnt this how we get eating disorders and body dysmorphia?? oh yes fab diet idea - eat naked and see how much you can manage. Well......i just ate a cookie crumble chocolate bar naked and simply didnt care. I think theres a point in life when you simply have to start loving your body - its you, its your outer shell. It protects you, makes up half of you - the physical you - and you can diet and excercise and moan about which parts you hate, but until you truly love it, youll never be truly content.

So please girls, dont eat nachos naked.... if only for the possibility of burning chips down your front!

A Little Word On Airbrushing....

So reading the Daily Mail online yesterday this article caught my eye and i thought i'd share it with you. It's all about air brushing and the use of photoshop within the fashion and beauty industries. Now i love photoshop as much as the next person but since when did it become ok to make already beautiful girls and women, such as Julia Roberts and Kate Winslet, even thinner or more flawless, flooding us with an even more unobtainable level of perfection?
However at last the National Advertising Division is taking action - banning an ad by Covergirl for their new mascara, in which the eyelashes of the model were digitally enhanched. Not only misleading, but also a kick in the self esteem for every normal girl out there whose eyelashes dont reach her hair line!

So guys just give it to us straight please - we all want to look as amazing as our favourite models and celebs but we really dont like being lied to!

All Hail Holly...

Well who isn't a teeny bit jealous of the gorgeous Holly Willoughby?? The girls got Size Sexy written all over her! And now she's released her latest collection for Very.com which outshines all the rest. It's flirty, girly and sexy all rolled into one, and although the lovely Holly seems to have lost a bit of the curvaceousness that we loved most about her, she's still created some beautiful pieces that would work wonders on curvier girls. She's also channelling the Marilyn Monroe look which is oh so on trend!

The Luthiers Libretto - 'Size Sexy' Gets Started!

So this is my first photo shoot for my Size Sexy campaign - the garments are ones I've made myself following a self iniatied brief at university - all of which are a size fourteen. I did made to measure for this project which was challenging but fun and made my own blocks for the first time which are now prized possessions! lol. The Luthiers Libretto - or 'The Cello Makers Song' - is a collection based upon the Stradivarius cello and all its luxurious grandeur. The Skirt has 3D panels and is etched with sound wave patterns and the collar and plackett of the shirt are much the same only spray painted with the signature gold detailing of the Strad cello. Enjoy!

I Am Size Sexy... Hear Me Roar!

Welcome to 'I Am Size Sexy' - a blog all about celebrating women and the diversity amongst us. As a fashion student i am often bored and shocked by the size zero trend of fashion models and im determined that i will not follow such a ridiculous trend. Yes some of the models are beautiful, im not saying they're not - etheral beauty is something we;ve all dreamt of at some point - but some simply look ill and at deaths door. In fact its been a combinatin of some high profile model deaths, reading Crystal Renns' book 'Hungry' and the discovery of 'All Walks Beyond The Catwalk' that have spurred me on to launch my 'Size Sexy' campaign - check it out on twitter (18Twenty).

The Size Sexy campaign is about women who are sexy and stunning and sassy and all those fantastic qualities that make both men and women say ' who is that?!' - the women who leave an impression, the women we all would like to be. The name is coined from one miss Kelly Rowland who told an unconfident contestant on Xfactor that she was a size sexy and to be proud of it and i really picked up on that.

So for the record, i am a size 18/20 and im a size sexy :)
